Emily VanCamp
Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is well-known for her lead roles in numerous television shows, but also her impressive performances in films. Her popularity is shared by both Canadian as well as American television. Emily first became interested when she watched her sibling Katie doing a movie. Emily began attending classes in acting, and then auditioning following realizing she had a passion for acting. She started out with a small amount of advertisements and then was selected for Are You Are You Afraid of The Dark, a Canadian horror film for children. In one scene, she was not even speaking any words. The first time she was seen on screen was at the age of 15, after she was spotted on the show on WB's Glory Days as a regular. Even though the show was cancelled after only nine episodes, her performance attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his TV show Everwood. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer and also took up photography. Teen listed her as one top actress under 20. Emily was listed as the 51st in Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
