Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of her four siblings, was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents, who were a dentist and teacher in a school helped and encouraged her early love for drama and theatre. The initial goal of her to be a monkey expert was eclipsed by her wish to learn about drama and theater. At the age of a young lady, her rise to stardom was rapid and marked with initial recognition and success. After completing her studies, she was able to participate in Jeunes Premiers, a French television talent-scouting program that was that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to begin her acting profession. Tautou is a pupil of the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and was a student there from an early age, has disavowed her Catholic upbringing. She now claims to be a non-Catholic. Neben her acting, Tautou has also been a model and the face in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. She is a keen photographer and created a show in the Arles International Festival titled Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on fame and celebrity and focuses the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her after her meteoric rise to fame in the film Amelie as well as a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's very first major performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's main actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie, landed the actress international fame. Amelie received international recognition for its box office success. The film was also recognized during awards ceremonies around the globe. Amelie was the highest-rated French-language film in the US. The success of this movie brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
